About BSides Scotland 2019

The Conference will be a single day event and will be held at the Royal College of Physicians on Queen Street, Edinburgh on 23rd April 2019 - a return to the venue we hosted BSides Edinburgh 2017, and with added upgrades and refurbishment. It is now even more beautiful. The ticket will include a breakfast snack, lunch, two coffee breaks and a “goodie bag” containing a conference T-Shirt, a printed program and other material donated by sponsors. The majority of expenses associated with the day will be raised by sponsorship.

We plan two speaker tracks, one for technical security (including development) and one for InfoSec, and a kids track with speakers from Cyber First, and Turing's Testers.  We are aiming at around 350 attendees.

We are delighted to welcome Todd Renner, from the FBI as our opening keynote, and Chris Sutherland from ING to close us at the end of the day!

In order to ensure enjoyment of the conference for the maximum number of people this year, we have decided to charge a nominal price for professional attendees, with students (those with .ac.uk email addresses and other students or unemployed people on application) being entitled to free tickets. Children will also be welcomed this year, but must attend with a parent.
